New Song - Cabin In The Woods - Out Now!

Just in time for fall, Round Here Records’ PLATINUM-hitmaker Canaan Smith is escaping to a “Cabin In the Woods” with his rustic, new rocker releasing today across all streaming platforms and digital retailers.

Co-produced by Smith alongside Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, and written by Smith, Kelley, Josh Miller and David Garcia, the easygoing mid-tempo is steeped in timeless comfort... and the relaxed feel of getting back on nature’s schedule.

Beginning with the sound of birds chirping and the echo of acoustic guitar, steel guitar and fiddle, it finds Smith reminiscing on a simple, forest hideaway that sits at the center of his character, while carrying the message that some things are the same as they’ve always been – regardless of what may be going on around us.

“I love music that makes me feel something, and this one definitely puts me in a place of nostalgia,” Smith explains. “I’ve made some of my favorite memories out in the woods, and this opportunity to put music out that reflects what I love is what’s most important to me right now. I hope everyone enjoys listening to it as much as I did making it.”

Cabin in the Woods” is the latest introduction to Smith’s new musical chapter. Continuing to channel his Virginia roots, the track follows “Colder than You” – a “solidly country” (MusicRow) and “deliberately stripped down” (Rolling Stone) tune that has garnered praise from fans and critics alike since its summer release, with Billboard highlighting his “raw tone” and Sounds Like Nashville hailing the song as a “slow grooving, tear-in-your-beer waltz for the modern era.”

Upping the ante, Smith recently launched The Dock Sessions with a soulful version of “Colder than You.” This original video series brings viewers down to the water for never-before-seen, acoustic performances of his new releases, fan-favorites and songs that have inspired him.

But this is just the beginning, as Smith is set to roll out a new project at the top of next year.
